The Net Branch news comes at the same time of the announcements of layoffs at both Ameriquest and Washington Mutual. The index reported that the average Texas household spends 37.9% of its income on a 30-year mortgage.

Ameriquest has eliminated an unspecified number of jobs across the country last week. The company had eliminated 1,500 jobs in November 2005, and announced another 3,800 job cuts in May of this year. These Net Branch Operation has happened nationally. In February, Washington Mutual shut down 10 mortgage processing centers, eliminating 2,500 jobs. In May, 1,650 jobs were eliminated.

The mortgage job losses are seen as an accommodation for growth in the online banking operation, according to a NetBranchOperations company spokesman, and not a result of a cooling housing market. The MBSD Group announced that approximately no employees have been layed off as part of a consolidation and outsourcing strategy. According to Net Branch Operations, the reductions in the residential mortgage division will be offset by increases in the online banking and credit card operations.

Texa is currently experiencing the branch operations appreciation across the country, according to a PMI US Market Risk Index for June. Texas only has a 17.5% chance of a decline in home prices for the next two years. In the Texas area, home sales hit the lowest levels since 2000 in June.

PremierWest Bancorp PRWT reported 2006 third quarter earnings of $3,697,000, compared to the same period in 2005 when the Company earned $3,503,000. Net income for the year to date the net branch operations totaled $10,788,000 an increase of 14.9% when compared to net income for the first nine months of 2005 when PremierWest earned $9,387,000. Earnings per share for all periods have been adjusted to reflect the effect of the 5% stock dividend issued June 29, 2006. Earnings per share for the year to date periods ended September 30, 2006 and 2005, on a fully diluted basis, were $0.61 and $0.53, respectively.

"Anhorn also stated, "Our ability with a net branch to increase year to date earnings 14.9% over the same period in 2005, while growing total assets $90.6 million and expanding our network of branches and geographical footprint is a result of a committed group of employees with a focus on serving customers. I'm pleased with our improvement in earnings this most recent quarter when compared to the same quarter in 2005," said President & Chief Executive Officer, John Anhorn. "

Individuals must possess a minimum of three years direct processing and originating experience. Experience in net branch operations Alternative-A loan programs and sub-prime areas of lending. Direct exposure to FNMA and/or FHLMC automated underwriting modules (DU, LP). Mortgage office management experience a major plus.

An in depth understanding of loan processing; risk analysis as it applies to the underwriting of loan products; an efficient ability to define the limits of program eligibility and problem solve to provide clients with alternative program solutions; a keen eye involving detection of fraud, quality control and appraisal review; the ability to effectively build a team oriented towards the consistent closing and funding of sufficient loans with net branch operations to meet monthly sales goals.
